Privacy Policy for TabLoft

TabLoft is a browser extension that helps you organize and manage your browser tabs. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

Data we store

The extension stores information about your open and saved browser tabs - including page URLs, page titles, favicon addresses, pinned state, tab-group details, and save or deletion times - within your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). It also keeps local trash, snapshots, recovery records, settings, and diagnostics. This data is used only to let you view, organize, recover, and restore tabs within the extension.

Network access

The extension has no account, sync service, analytics, advertising, or developer-operated backend. It does not upload tab records or diagnostics to Groviate. When the dashboard displays a saved favicon whose stored address uses HTTPS, your browser may request that image directly from the favicon address. The receiving host can see the requested favicon address and normal network data, such as your IP address and browser information. A favicon address can identify the related website. No other automatic network transmission is performed by the extension.

Diagnostics

The extension keeps a few local usage counters (for example, how many saved tabs you have). These are stored locally only and are never transmitted automatically. If you choose to report an issue, you may manually copy and share this information with us yourself; we do not collect it any other way.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your tab records with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. The direct favicon request described above is made to the host of that favicon, whose handling of the request is governed by its own privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion

Your tab data persists only in your browser's local storage for as long as the extension is installed. Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes this data from your device. We hold no copy of it anywhere.

Future paid features

If a paid Pro plan is offered and you choose to subscribe, payment processing will be handled by a third-party payment provider, who will collect the information necessary to process your payment (such as email and billing details) under their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing that provider's policy before subscribing. Your tab data itself remains local and is not linked to any payment account.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the extension handles data, we will update this policy and notify you within the extension before the change takes effect.
